Set Up Eudora To Check and Send Mail (Mac)

ISSUE:

How do I set up Eudora to check and send email?

OR

Ijust changed Internet Service Providers and now need to change Eudorato check and send differently. How do I change my settings?

SOLUTION:

Use this form to fill in what you need and save it for future reference.

  • Your POP or mail server:
  • Your SMTP or outgoing mail server:
  • Your e-mail login name:
  • Your e-mail address:

Now you are ready to get started!

Special: Settings

In Eudora, go to the SPECIAL menu and select SETTINGS.

Step 1.

In the Options window, you will see several icons on the left.  Select GETTING STARTED.

Step 2.

In the USERNAME field, enter the login name given to you by your internet service provider. For example: eudora-user.

Step 3.

Inthe MAIL SERVER field, enter the POP or mail server that was given toyou by your internet service provider. For example:pop-server.eudoramail.com.

Step 4.

Inthe REAL NAME field, type your name the way you would like people tosee it when they get e-mail from you. For example, John Doe.

Step 5.

Inthe SMTP SERVER field, enter the SMTP or Outgoing mail server that wasgiven to you by your internet service provider. For example:smtp-server.eudoramail.com.

Step 6.

In the RETURN ADDRESS field, enter your e-mail address. For example: eudora-user@eudoramail.com.

Step 7.

ClickOK. This completes the basic setup - you should now be able to send andreceive email in Eudora. For detailed instructions on how to check youre-mail, click here.
